On the road I suddenly saw this church (St. Jakob & Theresia) in Emmetten and the mystifying atmosphere created by the surrounding fog. I had to stop. I could not resist to spent some time on this lovely scene. After about 20 minutes a bird crossed my frame and gives freedom to the image.

I sat on a hill side and observed the interplay between the trees, fog and sunlight for some time. This abstract image captures a moment when the fog lifts, warm sunlight illuminates the treetops, creating a nice contrast between the warmth and coolness. The moments in life when we gain new perspective and understanding, emerging from our own personal fog.

A shot from the lofty vantage point of Mount Pilatus which emerges itself in front of the breathtaking landscape of Obwalden in the background. To fly over mountains feels like being Superman. It reminds me to break free from boundaries and the comfort zone and embrace the unknown. Stay curious.

One of my favourite view and shot over Stans with the iconic Mount Pilatus in the background. I enjoyed observing how the weather quickly changes as the light shined through the clouds and suddenly infuses the incredible scenery with a sense of hopeful drama.

After finishing our meal and setting up our tends on top of Musenalp we watched a nice sunset. I took out my camera, walked around to free up the view and captured this lovely scene. Just follow the light.

Unveiling the beauty hidden in plain sight - Unknown

I took this shot at an ordinary place where countless passersby walk by. A telephoto shot of a solitary tree standing in quiet dialogue with the iconic Fronalpstock. With this composition I tried to invite a sense of wonder and appreciation for the ordinary and bring some newfound perspective to the familiar.

I took this image during a late walk on the Bürgenstock. It was a cloudy day and as i walk the path back the sun came through the clouds and lit everything up beautifully. One tiny branch bathed in soft light surrounded by trees and greens. It reminded me of how different my path can look when there is light.

A shot I made on the final day of a roadtrip through Switzerland I did with friends. We camped on top of Bürgenstock and went for a nice walk along the ridge line. We waited for sunset and I observed the light. I fell in love with this stunning entry into the valley Engelbergertal which is full of treasures and epic hikes I haven’t done yet. Looking forward to.

People invented the light. Nature enchants the night.

I spent the night on the Wirzweli and took the time to make some night shots. After experimenting with different compositions I realised that the cloud inversion is lit up from the village lights below. Not quite sure if I haven’t seen something like this before of if I haven’t paying much attention to this phenomenon. But I love it.

This shot was well planned ahead by searching the exact azimuth of Comet Neowise. By doing so I was able to look for an interesting foreground within the alignment of the corresponding azimuth. I went to the place at 10pm and about 11pm I finally saw the comet in the sky. One of the best astro night I experienced so far.

I made this shot during the project “VierWald”. We took a test flight to look for nice angles on the Vierwaldstättersee. I can assure I was nervous but I fell in love with it the second we were up. Glad I got this shot which gives a nice perspective on the Bürgenstock the iconic Mount Pilatus in the background. I love how the light crosses the frame. And without the boat on the right corner, this image would not be here.

One of my favourite shots from the balcony of a cherished friend. I could not believe my eyes when I stepped the first time outside. Even though the whole scenery over the Vierwaldstättersee is breathtaking, my eyes always wander into this lovely scene when I’m on a visit.

A good friend of mine was friendly enough showing me this hidden gem. It felt like a fairy tale. This lovely scene was probably only seen by a hand full of people, because the access is well hidden and quite sketchy to get to. Glad that nature got this sweet little place for it’s own.

I waited 2 hours for the weather to clear up and reveal the incredible scenery. Unfortunately the fog was quite persistent. But it allowed me to capture this shot of someone standing on the perfect spot to convey the scale of those endless peaks in the Dolomites.

A gorgeous glen covered in moss had this lovely little waterfall. I was locking for a nice foreground and suddenly I recognized the floating bubbles in the water. So I took a bunch of long exposures and looked for some nice lines. I think this one is just perfect.

I’ve been looking for the perfect view of my favourite lake Vierwaldstättersee for quite some time now. And this is probably the best I came across so far - fingers not crossed. This shot was made with my drone flying over the nice Fronalpstock (Schwyz). To my fortune the sun brought in the perfect light for this scene. Could not be any happier.

A posing reindeer sat right next to a road in the Scottish Highlands. Still hard to believe that I was only about 5 meters away when I captured this lovely portrait. Will never forget this moment.

I could barely see these two random guys crossing Rhone Glacier from my bare eyes. So I took my 400mm zoom lens to get a closer look. Focus on details helps to leave distractions aside. But you got to keep the big picture in mind in order to head into the right direction.
